At a glance, Daisy Victoria appears as the stereotypical ‘feminine’ type; gentle, alluring and shy. But, just like all stereotypes, it’s wrong. She makes music, the dark, alt pop type that you’d get down to in a dark room in close range to several other sweaty people. Her latest track ‘Pain Of Dancers’ is the perfect example of what to expect from what will soon become yet another queen in the music industry.
Like the perfect lemon meringue pie, it’s light on the top and dense in the middle. Her vocals alter between the highest reaches and deepest recesses but still remain light on the tongue whilst the synthed up pop beats allure to the other side of Daisy Victoria, there’s a darker tinge to them then what you’d first take note of. Her lyrics also side with this as she belts “And you could keep it in the dark of your heart / Their voices calling but we won’t have answers”. It’s a beautiful creation but be careful it doesn’t catch you out.
