High Tyde are back at it again with another killer track. After their EP ‘Safe’ being released earlier this year, they’ve jumped straight back into recording to bring us this great indie-rock single. It premiered on Annie Mac’s Radio One show earlier this week and it doesn’t disappoint – if Annie loves it then so do we.
With every single they release, they get better and better; ‘Speak’ is the perfect follow-up to their previous single ‘Dark Love’. One of the main things I personally love about High Tyde is their lyrics; they are able to write some of the best indie-rock tracks I’ve heard this year and they demonstrate this perfectly here. The riff to this angsty song will also be stuck in your head for days to come – it’s definitely one to be blasting out your speakers this month.
After being able to see them live at Sound Control Manchester just a few months ago and seeing how well they perform live, I can see this being a key track for their upcoming circuit of festivals and gigs. And, if you’re going to Reading and Leeds festival, I would highly recommend heading to the BBC Introducing stage to see them play.
‘Speak’ is the first release from their forthcoming EP ‘Real’ – and, if this track has anything to go off, it’s going to be a stellar EP and we can’t wait for the release. Definitely check out ‘Speak’ on iTunes and Spotify and keep High Tyde on your radar because big things are afoot for this indie-rock quartet.
