Dan Michaelson and The Coastguards recently released the track ‘Tides’, taken from the critically acclaimed album ‘Memory’, which is not only a beautifully raspy song but is paired with a beautiful video – it’s a recipe for a great all around track.
The film portrays the hunt around New York for the right materials to build a boat. It follows James Bowthorpe; a record-breaking cyclist who set out to do just that in October of last year before taking the boat out along the Hudson river to travel 315 miles. It depicts the success and failure he faced while creating the boat.
With a great video is the unique voice of Dan Michelson. His haunting voice is like no other and is found throughout this song and his whole album.
‘Tide’ is taken from Dan Michaelson and The Coastguards latest album ‘Memory’, out now.
