It’s nearly the end of festival season for the Mytacism Music team. So, to see the season out, we having one last hoorah at this years Worcester Music Festival. WMF is one of our favourite festivals of the year, and it’s not just because we get to sleep in a proper bed at night. The festival boasts a huge range of music – from reggae to metal, they’ve got you covered – and an intriguing set of workshops, all set up in various venues across the city, making it the perfect excuse to discover all that Worcester has to offer. And, just to make things even better, the event is free with the option to donate to this years’ chosen charity – Acorns Children’s Hospice. With the festival now only one week away, we thought it was time to kick things off with our first preview of the weekend, featuring the marvelous Bad Cardigan.
WHO: Bad Cardigan | WHEN: Sat 17th @ 19:45 | WHERE: St. Swithun’s Institute Halls
When you think of bad cardigans, it is very likely you’d start thinking up vile patterns, scratchy materials or even of Gervais’ Derek. It may then come as a surprise that the phrase ‘Bad Cardigan’ may belong to a Northern duo who play a passionate mix of folk and indie. So, remove all negative thoughts of cardigans and instead replace it with the skilled strums and luscious vocals that join the band’s clever lyrics and you’ll find yourself in a much better state of mind.
