Single Review: Natives // Stop The Rain

The pop quartet Natives bring us their new single ‘Stop The Rain’ which was released back in July but now comes accompanied with a music video from Morocco as they offer an acoustic, stripped down version of their track complete with ukulele.

This, along with their previous single ‘Chasing Lions’ brings a new era of Natives after their debut album had a more indie-rock edge with tracks such as ‘Can’t Say No’. It seems their trip to Morocco really influenced their sound.

We are now introduced to the next chapter of Natives with this tribal pop song with similar vibes to that of Half Moon Run.

If the tribal-indie feel to the song is not your thing maybe check out the Santi Remix which gives the track a deep house vibe while still being able to hear the distinct melodies of Natives.

Now, with a new spin on their sound, they are currently on a UK tour in support of MOTHXR. You might have missed them in the UK for the time being but I’m sure they’ll be back soon to hopefully be touring a new album for us.
