Single Review: The Franklin Electric // Burning Flame

Montreal-based alt-folk band The Franklin Electric has released the video for the soulful and haunting single ‘Burning Flame’. The four piece are more than impressive: winning a Nashville songwriting competition, touring from Canada to Australia and constantly receiving more than positive reviews. It’s not like they need anymore support but when you stumble across music that shatters the earth beneath your feet, you have to stop and praise it.

‘Burning Flame’ is taken from their second album, ‘Blue Ceiling’, and proves just how far they have come since the beginning. The lyrics, carried on those heartfelt vocals, will bring a tear to your eye with the sheer emotion and meaning they carry. The melodies they sit on are sonically powerful, bringing the hairs on your arms up as they sliver down your spine. This isn’t just a song, it’s an experience.

‘Burning Flame’ is from The Franklin Electric’s second album, ‘Blue Ceiling’.
