Single Review: Greenhouse // Vincent Van Slow

Greenhouse releases new dreamy single ‘Vincent Van Slow’.

Greenhouse

Greenhouse are a four piece shoegaze outfit hailing from Toronto. The original duo met at music camp before gaining the final two members back in the city and haven’t stopped since. Playing extensive live shows, even selling out venues, and releasing a self-titled five track EP, there are a lot of eyes watching for their next move.

Mastering the sound of a grungy but still dreamy singer/songwriter, ‘Vincent Van Slow’ is an impressive bringing together of styles that commands attention and respect. Lyrically, it’s intriguing and compelling, the lines “so what if we’re sick, we’ll be remembered” sung by haunting vocals that own nonchalance. Overall, the track does it’s best to create a dreamy, lazy sound and the result is that of perfection.
