Gli Steely Dan si imbarcheranno questo autunno nel Absolutely Normal Tour ’21 di 28 date, ha annunciato la band lunedì. Il tour inizierà con una corsa di quattro notti al The Fillmore Miami Beach in Florida il 5, 6, 8 e 9 ottobre.
Il tour porterà il gruppo jazz-fusion guidato da Donald Fagen negli Stati Uniti orientali con date a Orlando, Florida (10/12, 10/13); San Pietroburgo, FL (10/15, 10/16); Jacksonville, FL (10/19); North Charleston, SC (10/20); Charlotte, Carolina del Nord (10/22); Richmond, Virginia (10/23); Baltimora, MD (10/25); Filadelfia, Pennsylvania (25/10, 27/10, 29/10, 30/10); Red Bank, New Jersey (11/1); Morristown, New Jersey (11/3, 11/4, 11/6, 11/7); Port Chester, NY (11/9, 11/10); Wellington, CT (11/13); Betlemme, PA (11/14); e infine avvolgere a Boston, MA (11/17, 11/19, 11/20).
I biglietti per il Absolutely Normal Tour ’21 di Steely Dan saranno in vendita al pubblico venerdì 30 luglio alle 10:00 locali tramite Ticketmaster. Le prevendite iniziano giovedì 29 luglio alle 10:00 locali e dureranno fino alle 22:00. Locale. I fan possono acquistare i biglietti Platinum a partire dal 29 luglio alle 10:00 locali.

Insieme al tour, gli Steely Dan hanno annunciato l’uscita di un paio di album live. Il corridoio Nordest di Steely Dan: Steely Dan Live! e una versione live dell’acclamato album solista di Donald Fagen The Nightfly—intitolato The Nightfly Live—usciranno in digitale e su CD il 24 settembre su UMe, con stampe in vinile da 180 grammi disponibili dal 1 ottobre. Northeast Corridor è il primo album dal vivo degli Steely Dan in oltre 25 anni ed è stato registrato in tutto il paese durante le tappe al The Beacon Theatre di New York, al The Met di Filadelfia e altro ancora. Il brano The Nightfly di Donald Fagen è stato eseguito dal vivo dalla Steely Dan Band.
